Swahili Proverb of the Day

Ukikaanga bisa, tuko chini ya ghai.

Which basically means: "if you are frying popcorn, we are down in the pot." In other words, whatever you try to keep secret from someone will be found out by them.

My dad says something along the lines of "proverbs being the seasoning in the dish of life". They just has a way of making things so much sweeter. I love them, my parents have one for every situation. I hope you come back with many in your memory. :) salaams

I dont remember this proverb but popcorn is Bisi and not bisa.
